United Food Suppliers Pvt Ltd (United or UFS) was founded in August 2007 by a partnership with Alia Investment’s Atho Ali, Alau Ali along with Hussain Waheed & Abdhul Latheef Ali.
Started in Male’ Small but in a state-of-the-art facility, built to meet international standards and maintain food in a constant temperature-controlled environment. As the cornerstone of our business these facilities ensure UFS deliver high quality products with exceptional care.
In a short time, UFS became of the key suppliers in Maldives, our clientele ranging from Resorts, Café/ Restaurants and Shops.
The Maldives serving as a prime luxury tourist destination hosts some of the best resorts renowned worldwide. UFS cater to a wide range of these resorts and hotels in the Maldives in ensuring they offer their guests the finest selection of the world's best food.
With the growing popularity of supermarkets in the capital island of Male', UFS cater to a number of supermarkets located in Male' and to a number of retailers throughout the nation who caters to a growing number of Maldivians who seek a broader selection of food products from across the world at the best value for money.
During a very short period UFS have covered 30% of the total market share, and in the future UFS be coming up with a large display of our range, In order to gain major market share in the Maldives.
GUARANTEED STANDARDS
United Food Suppliers was the first company in the food distribution business to achieve HACCP standards in the Maldives back in 2008.
These standards have now been renewed and updated in 2020 to include GNV Through management system certification, ISO 22000.
Through management system certification, UFS is certified to manage risks, assurances compliance and sustainable performance, people and value chains. With this certification UFS is able to tackle quality, environmental, safety or security challenges with combines technical, industry and risk management expertise with confidence, continuity, and resilience. STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE
In the past 15 years UFS have evolved and enhanced the warehousing infrastructure in line with increased requirement for better health and hygienic standards, especially when dealing with temperature controlled items. Understanding that space constraints in Male‘ will always limit enhanced health requirements, UFS has opened the country’s largest chiller and cold storage space at our Hulhumale’ premises in 2017, offering a massive 3,000 tons of space with shelving and modern equipment to store and retrieve items.
